Who We Are

We are The Collective, a dynamic nonprofit organization dedicated to fostering unity and empowerment within the black LGBTQ+ community.

Our Mission

Our mission is to create safe and inclusive spaces where individuals can freely express their identities, connect with like-minded peers, and build meaningful relationships. Through our vibrant initiatives, we aim to cultivate a sense of belonging by hosting an annual ‘Family’ Reunion Festival, vibrant social gatherings, and individualized social groups for members of our community. By celebrating our unique intersectional experiences, we strive to uplift, educate, and amplify the voices and experiences of black queer individuals. Join us as we advocate for love, equality, and a brighter future for all.

“If I wait for someone else to validate my existence, it will mean that I am shortchanging myself.”
